Today marked yet another Open Garden Day in Bamberg.

For the 13th time, numerous gardeners opened their doors under the motto “Bamberg Blossoms,” offering visitors a glimpse into the region’s rich gardening tradition.
We were delighted to be present at the opening in the Hopfengarten and to round off the sunny afternoon in various nurseries amidst plants and music.

We were particularly pleased that the international delegation from our COST climate protection project joined us for the day. Their visit and on-site discussions demonstrate just how great the interest in Bamberg’s “Gärtnerstadt” is even beyond the region—and how important it is to preserve Bamberg’s gardening traditions in the context of climate change.
