Visit from to the Bavarian State Chancellery

On October 30, 2025, the Bamberg World Heritage Center welcomed the current class of the Administrative Leadership Program at the Bavarian State Chancellery—a special honor and, at the same time, a valuable opportunity for professional exchange.

Dr. Simona von Eyb, Director of the Bamberg World Heritage Center, introduced the participants to the UNESCO World Heritage system and explained the diverse and increasingly complex tasks of World Heritage management. The discussion covered not only key aspects of the World Heritage Convention but also current challenges in managing the Bamberg World Heritage site, balancing preservation with contemporary use.

A lively exchange ensued, during which numerous questions and suggestions were discussed. The participants’ keen interest demonstrated how relevant the topic of World Heritage is even at the state policy level.

The Bamberg World Heritage Center looks forward to having the participants by its side in the future as dedicated advocates for the Bamberg World Heritage Site and extends its sincere thanks to the Bavarian State Chancellery for the visit and the great interest shown.
